
OUR HISTORY
1998 - Out of Town Group was launched with new restaurants and fast food kiosk's opening in Trafford Centre, Manchester, and at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village.
1999 - the Group acquired Life & Sole Restaurants Group trading from 15 sites in Meadowhall, as well as Portsmouth, Grimsby and Oldham, and opened new sites at Bluewater, Sheffield and Castleford.
1999 - Out of Town Group purchased Courtlands (Shopping Centres) Ltd, trading from 10 sites in The Metro Centre, as well as Southampton, Ipswich, Norwich and Newcastle City Centre.
2000/01 - saw dramatic growth for the Group with new openings at Bluewater, Trafford, West Quay Southampton, and Clarks Village Street.
December 2001 - the Group acquired Food Court Management, operating at the Headrow Centre, Leeds and the Prospect Centre, Hull.
December 2002 - a successful bid for the Group was made by Colin Mayes backed by Penta Capital. Simon Heath, previously Finance Director of Out of Town Restaurant Group, took the position of Managing Director.
November 2003 - the Group acquired Madisons Coffee adding 29 businesses to its portfolio. The acquisition incorporated Madisons, Carwardine’s and City Gourmets sites.
November 2005 - Graham Hunter replaced Simon Heath as Finance Director of the Out of Town Group.
January 2006 - Frazer Grimbleby was appointed as Managing Director of the Group.
August 2007 - the business was re-acquired by Lawrence Woskow and renamed Out of Town Leisure Group Ltd. James Burdall was appointed Managing Director.
